1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Saint Francis Rescue and Sanctuary of Yuma website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.

2. About our organization

Saint Francis Rescue and Sanctuary of Yuma is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 99-0599742) based in Yuma, Arizona. We are 100% volunteer-run — no one affiliated with the organization receives a salary or compensation. Every dollar donated goes directly to the care of the animals.

3. Adoption terms

Submitting an adoption or foster inquiry does not guarantee approval. All inquiries are reviewed at our sole discretion, and we may decline any application. Approved adopters sign an adoption agreement before an animal goes home, and agree to provide appropriate veterinary care, shelter, food, water, and a humane living environment for the life of the animal.

We cover necessary medical expenses before placement. Adoption fees help offset that cost and are generally non-refundable once an animal has been transferred into an adopter's care.

4. Foster terms

Foster homes provide temporary care while we work to find a permanent placement. We provide guidance and coordinate veterinary care; fosters agree to follow our care instructions and to keep us informed about the animal's wellbeing. The animal remains in the care of the rescue until formally adopted.

5. Volunteer terms

Volunteers must be 18 or older (or 16 with guardian consent and supervision), follow all safety protocols, and treat animals, staff, and the public with respect. We may decline or discontinue any volunteer relationship at our discretion.

6. Donations

Donations are voluntary and, except where required by law, non-refundable. As a 501(c)(3) organization, donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law — please consult your tax advisor. Donations made through third-party platforms (such as Zeffy) are also subject to those platforms' terms.

7. Website content

Content on this site is provided for general informational purposes. We work to keep animal listings and information accurate and current, but make no warranty that all content is complete or error-free.

8. Third-party links

This site links to third-party services such as Zeffy, Facebook, and Instagram. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Saint Francis Rescue and Sanctuary of Yuma is not liable for any indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of this website or your interactions with the organization.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona.
